Little Sobs

She walked up to her room,
And she broke down in little sobs
Staring in the face of her true doom,
Falling to the floor, she disrobes.

Her naked body shivers in the cold
As tiny tears, roll down her eyes
She hugs herself, arms fold
Releasing the pain that her soul hides.

There is always more,
Than what meets the eye
Sometimes the bitter truths in our heart,
Force our mouths to lie.

She looks at herself in the mirror,
She repeats to herself that she's fine
She fakes a smile and hides the terror
As her mouth indulges, little sips of wine.

Alas still up again she gets dressed,
Wearing the perfect attire
With her shirt all pressed,
Perfection camouflages, her internal fire.
