Tender

She stood there, at this tender young age,
Her eyes with pain and fear, wild
Her little mind filled with an unexplained Rage,
Petrified to see blood, oh poor child.

"You are a woman now", the doctor exclamied,
"Step away for the opposite sex", warned her father
"Cover this strap and hide away the pads" her friend explained,
"Stay away from the god's house", said her mother.

Drenched horribly, in confusion and this red sweat,
Worsened though, by an ever increasing pain
Taught to shy away in useless regret,
Taught to stick to solidarity, in vain.

Alas! Nobody taught her self love
Her life a book of mere rules, seemed,
As the suffocation flew beyond and above,
"I hate being a woman", Tears escaped her eyes as her mind screamed.
