She saw the beauty in his darkness,
He recognised the darkness in her beauty
She desired to feel this majestic mess,
He wished to protect her, making it his duty.

She saw the tears in his smile,
He saw the smile in her tears
She wanted to be still, letting time while,
He wanted to just embrace all her fears.

She saw the love in his eyes,
He felt the pain in her voice
She wished to pass through all these lies,
He wanted to make her, his best choice.

She saw right through his facade,
He saw right through her external art
She just wanted these lies to fade,
He just wanted this pain to part.

She could touch his heart,
He could make her skin tremble with her soul
Alas! Meant to grow together yet they fell apart,
And the cruel reel of life still does roll.
